Sharina Smith

Sharina Smith began her career as a journalist but was soon attracted to the world of public relations. Since then she has had extensive experience in marketing, public relations, advertising, and college development. Sharina serves as the Senior Director of Marketing and Communications at Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Mo. She has taught at Missouri State University-West Plains and is an adjunct instructor at Southwest Baptist University.

An author and poet, Sharina's writing has appeared in The Baptist Educator, the Bolivar Herald-Free Press, Sisters in the Lord Magazine, Faith Writers Magazine, Hers Women's Magazine, Thirty-Seven Cents, and numerous online publications. Her book, Shout for Joy: poems from the journey, chronicles her spiritual journey. Sharina is currently serving as one of the "Dear MOMbo" writers on www.MOMboTV.com. Sharina is also the Executive Editor of SBU Life, the magazine of Southwest Baptist University.
